Patents and Trademarks: Protect Your Craft and Designs

Trina&Friends community:

Recently, our team received a note from a talented craftster.
She inquired about the best approach to protect her work and ideas.

We suggest Patents and Trademarks.

Do your dilligent research; a simple query in Google will supply you
with endless information and insight about how to:

1. Decide on whether you need a Patent, a Trademark, or both
2. How to apply for Patents and Trademarks
3. Finding legal help/assistance

We suggest a proactive approach.
Although it is easy to become preoccupied with the creative process and selling,it is imperative to invest in the protection of your work and ideas.

You can legally protect yourself through a patent. In this manner if anyone tries to infringe on your design or craft they are liable to the law because you are protected.

Next Steps:
1. Here is a good link to get started on the steps.

2. You can also do a Google search by entering ''patent your craft'' or ''protect your craft'' in the search field.

We have a passion for indie design, crafts and artists and we want to see you succeed.

Warm regards,
Trina&Friends
